Naranote — Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 11, 2026

Naranote is a personal journaling app for Android, published by amarini and distributed through Google Play. This policy explains what information the app handles and the choices you have. If you have any questions, contact us at hellonaranote@gmail.com.

In short: your journal lives on your device. Naranote has no server of its own and cannot read your entries, moods, or health logs.

1. Data stored on your device

Everything you write and track in Naranote is stored locally on your device only:

None of this content is transmitted to us or to any server operated by Naranote. If you uninstall the app, this data is removed along with it.

2. Google Sign-In

Signing in with Google is optional. If you choose to sign in, we receive your Google account name and email address through Firebase Authentication (a Google service), solely to identify your account within the app. You can use Naranote without signing in.

3. Crash and diagnostic data

Naranote uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and basic device information (such as device model and OS version) when the app malfunctions. This data is used only to find and fix bugs. It is never used for advertising.

4. Google Drive backup (optional)

You can choose to back up your journal to your own Google Drive. The backup is stored in a private app-data area of your Drive, under your Google account. Naranote can only access the backup files it created — nothing else in your Drive. You can delete backups from inside the app or at drive.google.com at any time.

5. Menstrual and health data

Period logs and symptoms you record stay on your device, like all other journal content. They are never shared with third parties, never sold, and never used for advertising. They leave your device only if you choose to create a Google Drive backup, which is stored in your own Drive as described above.

Naranote is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Please consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it with third parties for marketing. The only services that process data on our behalf are Google Firebase services (Authentication and Crashlytics), described above.

7. Deleting your data and account

You can permanently delete your data at any time, directly inside the app:

This permanently removes all content stored on your device, deletes your Naranote account record (Firebase Authentication), and disconnects Naranote from your Google account. If you made a Google Drive backup, it remains in your own Drive — you can remove it at drive.google.com.

If you can no longer access the app, you can also request account deletion by emailing hellonaranote@gmail.com from the Google account you used to sign in.

8. Children

Naranote is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
